Convetta
Free online image converter and resizer. JPG, PNG and WEBP never leave the browser.
What it does
- JPG, PNG and WEBP are made in the browser with canvas, so the file never leaves the device.
- GIF, ICO and PDF go through ImageMagick in a container; the file is discarded as soon as the response is sent.
- Batch conversion with a single ZIP download.
- A resizer with aspect-ratio lock, by pixels or percentage.
- Accepts JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, BMP and AVIF, up to 20 MB per file.
- Turkish and English, a dark theme that follows the system, and no account, quota, tracking or ads.
- Problem
- Converting or resizing an image online usually means uploading it to someone else’s server.
- My role
- My own product: idea, design, development and hosting.
- Solution
- JPG, PNG and WEBP are converted in the browser, so the file never leaves the device; GIF, ICO and PDF go through ImageMagick in a container. Batch conversion with one ZIP download, and a resizer.
- Result
- Live at convetta.com in Turkish and English, with no sign-up, quota or tracking; open source under AGPL-3.0.
