halitucar.com.tr
A personal news-style site for an industrialist and writer, rebuilt from scratch.
- Problem
- An industrialist and writer from Gebze had years of articles, books and press coverage on an old, dated site, and he keeps writing new pieces.
- My role
- Design, development, moving the content, launch and search setup: all of it, start to finish.
- Solution
- A WordPress site in a news layout, so he can publish on his own. Every article, book and press piece moved over with its read count, the books can be read page by page on the site, and the admin login is hidden and locked after failed attempts.
- Result
- Live at halitucar.com.tr, with Search Console set up and fast load times on phone and desktop.
About
The personal site of Halit Uçar, an industrialist and writer from Gebze. I rebuilt it from scratch on WordPress, so he can keep adding articles himself.
All of his articles, books and press coverage moved over, along with their read counts. I also set up search, security and speed.
